Once again a new spy image of Mahindra Thar 5 Door, the most awaited SUV in the Indian market, has surfaced. In which we can see the vehicle much closer to the launch. Currently, the three-door Mahindra Thar is available for sale in the Indian market, which is maintaining its dominance in off-roading and lifestyle SUVs. It is expected that the upcoming five-door Mahindra Thar is also going to maintain its dominance in a similar manner.

New Mahindra Thar 5 Door design

Although the spy image of the five-door Mahindra Thar has been revealed many times in the Indian market, but this time in the spy image we have seen the SUV much closer to the production star. According to all the spy images that have surfaced so far, it is going to be introduced with a newly designed front profile with new LED projector headlamps, LED DRL and fog light setup.

Its front look is expected to be quite similar to the Jeep Rangular. Apart from this, a new B pillar based door will also be offered in the site profile. Along with this, it is also going to get newly designed alloy wheels. At the rear, a new LED tail light unit is going to be offered along with a revised bumper. The upcoming Mahindra Thar 5 Door is going to be different compared to other SUVs on the road.

Not only changes are made on the outside, but the most important change is going to be made on the inside towards the cabin. It is going to be an off-roading SUV as well as a lifestyle SUV. This is going to be special for those who want a big SUV. In its cabin, we can also expect some changes in the dashboard layout along with a premium leather set, handrests for front and rear passengers and soft touch facilities at many places. There is a possibility that the theme inside it will be kept very light.

New Mahindra Thar 5 door Engine

Although the same engine as the current Thar is going to be given from under the bonnet, but due to its larger size, its engine can be tuned. In the current Thar, the four by four variant has a 2.0 liter turbo petrol engine which generates 152 bhp and 320 Nm of torque. Apart from this, 2.2 liter diesel engine which generates 130 bhp and 300 Nm torque. Both engine options are offered with six-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmissions. According to some media reports, it is expected that it will also be offered with rear wheel drive technology.

Currently the price of Mahindra Thar starts from Rs 10.90 lakh to Rs 16.94 lakh ex-showroom. But the price of the upcoming five-door Mahindra Thar is expected to start from Rs 15 lakh to Rs 25 lakh ex-showroom.
